Rumors that cats prefer open boxes to the closed, cavernous styles are simply unfounded. A study conducted by experts at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and published in the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery found cats have no preference and will wander into whichever litter box suits them at the moment. Some cats prefer an open concept while others seem to gravitate toward the enclosed containers. Modkat offers both options.
